This department store and shopping centre, with branches all over the country, was the first to be set up in Santander. For many years it was the only one of its kind in the region, and became very popular with locals, who trusted it and became loyal customers. You'll find a wide range of goods here, from food to electrical appliances, things for the home and garden, books and all sorts of other items. Outside the hypermarket there are various shops, a photography studio, shoes (Calzados Rua), clothes, etc. The competitive prices have resulted in this store rapidly becoming the leading store in the region. Also the quality, customer service - both unbeatable - contributed towards its success. It's currently being revamped, and now has, among other things, a cinema complex and more parking spots.
