This center was built in 1989 and is extremely well equipped with gym facilities, classrooms, a dining room, changing rooms, a library, a video room and boat storage for its members. Architecturally, it is very appropriately reminiscent of a large warehouse or wharf, except that many of the exterior walls are made of glass. The center is sponsored by the City Council in partnership with the Sports Council and the Royal Spanish Nautical Society. The sailing school aims to teach and promote sailing, racing, windsurfing and cruise navigation.
