The Efroasan community is located 7km from the Huhunya customs barrier in the Eastern Region of Ghana, The umbrella rock is within the small village of Efroasan Amanfrom. It is one and a half hours drive from Accra. The rock formation which looks like an umbrella was given its name by the locals. It is was discovered several years ago I am told by a hunter. The top which you can climb to have a good view covers an area of 30 metres square It is opened for viewing all week including public holidays anytime of the day and you can do a self tour of the place as there is no entry fee.
