The Akaa waterfalls is located 4km from the Huhunya customs barrier in the Eastern Region of Ghana, It is managed by the Akuapem North District Assembly under the Ministry of Local Government. It is one and a half hours drive from Accra. The height of the fall is about 20metres. You will ascend 241 steps to the fall and ascend same on return. There is a tour guide to take you around. Please bring along your own food and drinks as I did not find a restaurant there. An additional attraction I saw are special rock formations that have a history. A play ground for children in is under development. It is opened all week including public holidays from 6.am to 5pm. Non Nationals Adults pay 2cedis entry fee and Nationals pay 1cedi entry fee. There are 2 summer huts where you can sit and have something to eat or drink.
