Shtsupak Fish Restaurant
256 Ben Yehuda St Cuisines: SeafoodAbout
Well worth a trek or taxi ride from the hotel district, the bustling Shtsupak serves wonderful fresh fish and is a bit better and more atmospheric than its rival, Barbunya. Both places are functional and no-frills, and serve excellent, fresh grilled or fried fish and shrimp that comes with a big meze of Middle Eastern salads (included in the price). Shtsupak, however, has a sidewalk dining terrace; a somewhat more leisurely pace; and usually comes out ahead of Barbunya when it comes to salads, sauces, and the size of its portions.
