The Opera Bus Terminal located at the popular OPERA SQUARE in the heart of the city is not far from the General Post Office, in Accra Central. It used to be a Government ran terminal for the defunct OMMNIBUS SERVICES. It is now rehabilitated with waiting sheds for passengers, washroom, and offices for drivers and managements in addition to security lights. The Accra Metropolitan Assembly which received the completed project from the Government has handed it for running by THE METRO MASS TRANSIT (MMT) SERVICE. The routes covered by the Opera Terminal are suburbs of Accra such as MALLAM, NEW TOWN, DANSOMAN and ODORKOR. When you need to find particular routes ask the officials and you will be given the specific direction. The transport service provided by the Metro Mass Transit Service is so now the cheapest means of public transport that you can find in the country. You can shop around and use this bus terminal to link your next destination
