Considered one of the most beautiful monasteries in the country and a fine example of Spanish Baroque architecture, Monasterio Cartuja took around 300 years to build. Sculptures and paintings fill its flamboyantly decorated interior, and you can't miss the dome mural. Notice the way the geometric surfaces echo each other, and think of this as the Christian reply to the Moorish Alhambra. Consider taking the bus to reach this attraction.
