King's Wharf

King's Wharf

About

In the days when motor cars were few, San Fernando's King's Wharf was the ferry service between the capital of Port of Spain and the southern city, particularly when it came to transporting goods like sugar. It also was the major shipping link between Trinidad and neighboring Venezuela. Today, King's Wharf is about to be restructured and a new jetty will be built to once again facilitate passenger and general cargo. The new jetty will accommodate sea transport from almost all of Trinidad's major towns.
