Pirates Bay, Charlottesville

Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago

About

Romantic hideaway sany beach, good for swimming, snorkelling'. Beautiful location, very quiet but safe. Can be accessed two ways. By foot, take the track at the end of Charlottesville village, after passing the local shops and jetty. Its quite a long walk, so difficult for people who are not fairly active/fit, as you have to descend down a good number of steps to access the beach. The easier option is to ask a local to take you by boat. A guy called Son Son (everyone knows him in the village) has a glass bottom boat moored at the jetty and he will take you there for very little cost and will wait or return for you in your own timing. It is worth the hassle as the location is stunning. Afterwards, take a wander around the village of Charlottesville, there are local shops, supermarket, a few bars, fish for sale, local food.
