Holalkere is a small town located at a distance of about 35 km from Chitradurga city. The main tourist attraction of this place is the ancient Jain settlement of the 10th Century AD. This town is also popular for the 9 feet high statue of the child god Baal Antipathy.Legends A Ganesha Temple with an idol of Lord Ganesha carved out of monolithic stone is around 20 ft (6 m) tall, with entwined hairs and was established in 1475 CE. by the Nayaka Guthyappa Nayaka.
