Trip factory team: Very responsive and instant replies to all the queries and concerns from day1 of contacting them. Planning itinerary was also smooth. Roy suggested not to book water activities in advance instead go to spot and bargain. That was a helpful input. We could save Rs100-500 per person.
Port Blair: Hotel and it's service was poor. Washroom was small. Kettle/chair was not clean. Staff did not respond when we called from room to reception. Out of 3rooms only one room telephone was working . WiFi(not Internet) was not available all the time . only 1-2 person could use it. Had to come outside the room to get internet. lift was broken. Kettle was not clean. Had informed all these problem in reception. But did not get solution. Even complimentary packed water was not given.
Transport in port Blair: Twice it happened that without informing the driver left us and went. When we came out of hotel/island the driver was not available and we have to spend 30-60min to wait for driver to come. First time when this happened I told driver at 5.30pm that sharp 6.45 we have to leave. I requested him twice not to leave without calling. At 6.35 both driver and Naveen had called. I told we will come by 6.45. But when we came the driver had already left. Inspire of telling the time, the driver left without informing.
Overall did not like the arrangements made in Port Blair. Every evening I had to call Naveen and ask for next days plans , timings and had to ask for driver details. Breakfast had less varieties. Usually breakfast in good hotel will have lot of varieties.
Havelock: Spent just one day. Hotel room/washroom was very good. Breakfast was ok but better than J hotel. Co ordinator David was good. Arrangements were also good. Co ordinators were there with us till the ferry gates got open.
Baratang from Port Blair: Driver on that day was Marshall. On our whole journey the driver explained importance of each place we visited/about to visit. So much information was provided about Andaman, different tribes in Nicobar, how different are they. We had to take ferry after tribal zone. Before we got down he told us where to stand in ferry to get down faster, what time we have to be back, and asked to what to ask the guide during our lime road visit. Everything was told by him in prior. Because of him we could cover the place planned on time. Very very helpful and useful information was given to us. Even during our return journey from Baratang to Port Blair. He explained about the buildings which we passed. It was kind of city tour for us where usually guide explains us everything about the whole city. Wish we had got such driver cum guide from day1 to day4 as well. Overall our 5th day was great . Only concern was with Sagarika govt emporium. We were fooled by that Sagorika/Sagarikhaa. But we donno why it happened and whose mistake. Driver's/shopkeeper's.
