This mahogany-paneled bar has leather banquettes evocative of an early-1900s California saloon. Choices include an array of salads and platters. At lunch order from a quick menu, including an appetizer, a garnished main course, and two glasses of wine. Typical dishes are magret of duckling and top-notch beefsteaks and fresh fish. Restaurateur extraordinaire Michel Hermet makes his own wine at vineyards associated with his family for many generations.
