About
Warrawong Sanctuary is a wildlife provides a safe haven for these weird and wonderful animals and a place you can go to see them in their natural habitat. The duck-billed platypus can be particularly difficult to spot in the wild, but here they are abundant in South Australia's only mainland population. There are also over 100 native bird species, wallabies, kangaroos, possums and the small kangaroo/rat-like potoroo. The sanctuary has a mission to re-introduce to South Australia native animals which have faced extinction since white settlement.
