Try to spy whales from this iconic tower along the North Coast. Climb to the top of 115-foot-tall Point Arena Lighthouse and you’ll see for miles from its lantern room. Take a guided tour of the light station or spend the night in an old keeper’s home. Learn about the incredible lighthouse lens, made up of 666 hand-ground glass prisms--with an appraised value of over $3.5 million! During fall and spring, the lighthouse makes excellent viewing grounds for whales and other local wildlife, and the on-site gift shop offers pretty abalone jewelry and other unique souvenirs.
