About
The atmosphere in this cozy little restaurant in the center of town near the market is pleasantly casual. Two whitewashed, tile-floored rooms are usually filled with local workers and businesspeople who invite newcomers to share a table when no other place is available. Service is minimal -- the chef puts what he's prepared for the day on a table near the front door, you tell him what you want, and one of the staff brings it to the table when it's ready. Focaccia, farinata, and other Genovese specialties are usually on hand, as are at least one kind of soup (the minestrone is excellent), a chicken dish, and grilled fresh fish.
