This cozy trattoria is run by Roberto Fabbro, who opened Santa Margherita Ligure's first rosticceria more than 40 years ago. They give you a glass of Spumanti and a bit of pizza to help you digest the menu, which runs the gamut from penne all'arrabbiata (pasta quills in a spicy-hot tomato sauce) and a fritto misto (a mix of seafood deep-fried) to minestrone alla Genovese (thick vegetable soup), trenette al pesto, and pesce alla piastra (grilled bream or sea bass). The best seating is at a few tables under the arcade out back.
