Take a camel ride to the sand dunes

Just beyond the town you can go on an excursion to the Sam Sand Dunes, a vast area of undulating sands. You can take a jeep into the desert or opt to travel in the traditional style on camel back. Many Jaisalmer-based tour operators arrange camel rides to the Sam Sand Dunes. Stay in the desert till the sun sets watch the last rays transform the desert scape into a work of art.
