Solang valley is located at a distance of 13 Kms from Manali. Skiing enthusiasts from all over India and abroad visit Manali each year to enjoy alpine skiing on the slopes offered by Solang Valley and Rohtang pass. Winters in Manali starts from December and usually lasts till February. Skiing is subject to snowfall so one can never be sure about it. Solang Nala offers very decent slopes for beginers in skiing.
