The Black Cave or Pellumbas Cave is one of the most important Adventure and cultural sites in Tirana. it is only about 30 kilometers in south east of Tirana in the direction of Elbasan. It is a wonderful monument skillfully decorated from mother nature with stalactites and stalagmites. Archeologists have discovered that it was inhabited in the Palaeolithic times, a very rare thing for similar caves in Europe. It is easy to reach by car or by bus and the path leading to the cave has been modified to be safer. After the visit you can have a barbecue or a picnic in the surroundings. Enjoy!
