Seahorse World in northern Tasmania offers fun-filled, educational guided tours for all ages. Seahorse World is the world’s first commercial seahorse farm and supplies live seahorses and other ornamental fish internationally to public aquariums and pet wholesalers. Come and discover in a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at a working seahorse farm, how aquaculture has made these creatures available to everyone. Your personalised and friendly, 45-minute guided tour, will also reveal the many distinctive characteristics of seahorses. Marvel at other bizarre local marine creatures in the Wonders of the Southern Ocean Aquarium and get hands-on in the touch pool. Giant cuttlefish, spider crabs, sharks, stingrays and seadragons are among many others that can be observed in the aquarium.Seahorse World is fully accessible for people with special needs and has a café and an impressive gift shop showcasing some of Tasmania’s fine art, crafts and souvenirs.In the heart of the Tamar Valley at Beauty Point Seahorse World is open seven days a week, except Christmas Day.
