Sangameshwara Temple, also known as Vijayeswara Temple, is located in the Pattadakal town. The temple was constructed by King Vijayaditya between 696 and 733 AD and the name of the shrine is derived from his name.The top view of the temple includes garbha griha, pradakshinapatha, antarala, mantapa and a mukha mantapa . Its superstructure exhibits the fine details of double storey Dravida-Vimana architectural style. Vishnu and Shiva along with a team of Bhutaganas are elaborately carved in the temple.
