Sagras are held right through the warmer months of the year in summer and fall in smaller towns outside of Florence. Showcasing local favorite dishes these events usually run on weekends and are usually tourist-free zones since advertisements are only in Italian and private transportation is usually required. These events are very informal and take on a block party atmosphere with long communal tables set up in a park or in the street.
