Rycerska, situated in a buoyant building just off the bustling Old Town Market Square, revives the sights, smells and tastes of medieval times. The grandiose interior boasts elegant white-tablecloth dining arrangements, gold-leafed chandeliers and heavy wooden furniture in addition to a collection of old-time knight armor, weapons and flags. Stately and very formal, this fine-dining destination draws an upmarket crowd of locals and visitors with traditional Polish dishes and qualitative services. The menu features a wide selection of hearty meat, fish and poultry dishes including stand-outs such as roast of goose in cranberry sauce with potato dumplings, venison ragout served with buckwheat and vegetables and grilled trout in herbal butter. The restaurant opens daily at noon.
