Raig en Aguas Blancas (Es)
Playa de Aguas Blancas
About
If you leave Ibiza and drive until you pass the village of San Carlos, you will find a turn that leads to the Aguas Blancas beach (literally "White Water", so called because of the color the grey sand turns the sea water. The only way to get here is by car, as the bus leaves you in San Carlos, which is still several kilometers away. Once on the beach, walk to the northern end and cross the group of rocks there. This is the place known as Es Raig, a wood of centuries-old oleanders that almost comes down to the sea, and one of the island's most secret places. The trip down to the Aguas Blancas beach is best done on foot in summer, as the whole steep slope tends to be full of cars from first thing in the morning.
