One of Melbourne's best Thai restaurants, Paladarr Thai Issan is tucked away in a leafy Alphington street. While we don't often think of Thai as a ""special occasion"" cuisine, this restaurant definitely ticks the location for a ""night to remember"" box. The menu specialises in dishes from Thailand's north-east and all is made with fine produce, balance and style. The dining room is elegant, with an open fire crackling and subdued Thai music floating in the air. Recommended for date nights.
