Chinese culture is alive and well in Oroville. During Gold Rush days, more than 10,000 immigrants from China lived in this Northern California town. The area also was part of a traveling circuit for Chinese theater troupes. Many clothes, belongings and artifacts from this era have been collected inside the beautiful Chinese Temple .
