About
A rooster’s crow and the sliver of sunshine through the orchards begin every morning at the Chaffin Family Farm, an icon in agritourism and sustainable family farming for three generations.
Their 200-year-old olive trees, some of the oldest in North America, produce award-winning olive oils year-after-year, while their wide range of mouth-watering fruits from their orchards keep visitors coming back for more. But it’s not just for farmers to enjoy. Bring your family for the weekend and stay in a spacious Feather Down Farm Tent, a country-cozy way to spend time together. You’ll have a blast picking your own fruit, milking a cow, taking a tour of the fields and gardens, or a dip in Table Mountain Lake. Discover the area by bike, kayak, or foot (or all three!) There are plenty of paths and trails just waiting to be explored. On Sundays, join the farmers in the organic garden to harvest produce for the farmer’s market.
After a long day of exploring, relax by your tent’s oil-lit lanterns (no electricity) and enjoy a woodstove-cooked meal using ingredients sourced from the farm.
