The Olympic Tower in Munich is a symbol of the city and of the Olympic Games of 1972. As of 2005 the Olympic Tower gained 1.75 meter when a new antenna was installed to supply digital TV to Munich and South Bavaria, bringing it to a total of 291.28 Meter. With a speed of 7 m/s the elevator takes visitors to the top, offering an indoor as well as an outdoor viewing platform. On good days the view is open all the way to the Alps. Opening times are every day from 9 am to midnight, with the last ascent at 11:30 pm. Adults pay € 4.50 - Under 16: € 2.80 - under 6: free. Family and group tickets are also available.
