Ocean and Country Visitor Centre and Museum, in Letterfrack County Galway, has over 200 exhibits, combined with a seaside nature trail.Ireland's only glass bottomed boat tours, in purpose built boats that are fitted to the highest safety standards and certified by the Department of Transport, sail across Ballinakill Harbour. Ballinakill Harbour is home to a large variety of sea birds, grey seals, dolphins and porpoises. This unique sea tour provides a voyage of discovery with a difference.See the underwater world as only seen before by divers with commentary provided throughout the tour. Lower tides are required for the best underwater views so please enquire beforehand, particularly as boat trips may be weather dependent.The Harbour Café is open daily specialising in wholesome home baking for lunch. Or why not indulge in afternoon tea while enjoying the spectacular scenery. Not only does the Café overlook Derryinver Bay but the views extend across to the famous Twelve Bens Mountains and Diamond Mountain, which is located in the nearby Connemara National Park.
