Nedlands Golf Club was founded on the Melvista Reserve in 1932 by Cyril Dudley CBE, who was the President for 27 of the first 32 years of the club. At that time it became the eight metropolitan golf club formed in Perth, with Royal Perth being the oldest (1895).
