About
Sárvár, the Spa town also boasts a well-preserved medieval castle. During its peak, it was owned by County Nádasdy, who was feared under the nickname 'The Black Beg' by the Turks. His widow, Elizabeth Báthory also lived here in the 17th Century. The castle houses a nice Baroque furniture and other artefact collection.
