The monument designed by Professor Czesław Dźwigaj and funded by the Sharpshooters' Fowler Brotherhood in 2002 commemorating their meeting with the Holy Father in the Vatican stands in this historical marksmen association's Strzelecki Park (on the map). It is not the only monument to the Polish pope in the Kraków. The one in Henryk Jordan Park was designed by Stefan Dousa and funded by the Regional Authorities of the NSZZ Solidarność Trade Union in 2000. Another one, made in 1998 to commemorate 20 years of pontificate, stands by the Church of Jesus the Good Shepherd at ul. Dobrego Pasterza 4.
