ucovina is undoubtedly one of the most profound tourist destinations in Romania. It is not just impossible, but unfair, to summarize the magic of these places in a few words. Bucovina is worth much more, for example, a 3-4 days relaxing trip on the mountain bike! The region is well known worldwide for the archipelago of monasteries, which denotes a special spiritual wealth. From dozens of places of worship, dating from the Middle Ages, 7 have been chosen by the UNESCO to be included in the World Heritage Sites. The combination of Gothic and Byzantine architecture, the intensity of monastic life, but especially the murals, both inside and outside, which miraculously survived for almost 500 years, draw attention upon these monasteries. However, it is worth exploring much more than the ecclesiastical monuments: millennial traditions of the people (as dyeing and decorating the Easter eggs) and very picturesque landscapes, not inferior to that of Tyrol.
