Afrobeat legend's Kalakuta Republic on Gbemisola Street has been opened as 'Kalakuta Republic' Museum by the Lagos State Government led by Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola. The museum houses all Fela's memorabilia, including his clothes, shoes, equipment and other items. The event was tagged soft opening, according to Fela's daughter, Yeni Kuti.The museum consists of his bedroom, sitting rooms, photographs, with over 3,000 of Fela's clothes on display.
