Kaiserliche Hofburg Innsbruck (Imperial Court)
Rennweg 1About
Any visitor to Innsbruck would be remiss in passing up an opportunity to take in the splendor of the palatial Imperial Court. Built in 1460 for Archduke Siegmund the Rich, the palace underwent a massive makeover in the latter half of the 18th century, changing the decor from Gothic to Baroque. Judging from the exquisite and decadent rooms, it seems like the right choice. The Court also doubles as a museum, educating eager learners on the landmark's lengthy history in multiple languages. Various rooms can also be rented for private functions. If you're hungry, stop by the ground's Café Sacher for a bite.
