About

Josephine Creek begins as a trickle high on the south-east side of Bartle Frere, Queensland's highest mountain. By the time it reaches Josephine Falls, the trickle has become a substantial creek, which at times turns into a raging torrent. Tumbling over granite boulders, it forms the picturesque Josephine Falls. This track leads you through lush tropical rainforest, to viewing decks overlooking the Josephine Creek and Falls, where there are excellent photographic opportunities. Wheelchair access is available to the viewing platform at the top pool.
