Jain Temple of Pattadakkal is a three storey ancient temples located on the bank of river Malaprabha. Records state that the temples were constructed by Krishna II, a Rastrakuta King, in 9th century.The temple with a square garbha griha or sanctum is surrounded by a circular path known as Pradakshinapatha, whose walls are presently collapsed. Elaborate stone carving with animal figures on the walls and pillars of the temple adorns the overall beauty of this huge shrine.
