It's a Chinese Restaurant. If there was one thing that I found incredibly frustrating about Italy was the lack of food choice. It is incredibly difficult in most cities (Rome, Florence, Bologna) to find anything other than Italian restaurants. On top of that; most restaurants have very similar menus according to the region. This is fine if you are visiting Italy for a week; but being there for two months it became a huge problem for me.
Imagine my delight when after hours of searching for anything non-Italian in Florence when I stumbled upon Il Mandarino.
