Since its inception in 1931, the Ideal Cocktail Bar is a one of its kind English Pub in the heart of Barcelona serving the best European whiskeys. The decor is typical of an English style pub with velvet curtains, bar stools and an open bar area. The crowd here comprises mostly older men, who meet over a sip of whiskey, catch up on a few gossip sessions and listen to some soothing music. The wait staff are all dressed in white and have a professional approach. The bar claims to stock around 40 types of gin and about 80 different varieties of whiskey, and have some of the best bartenders in Barcelona. Specialties here include Presidente, which is rum and grenadine, and Whisky Sour. The Ideal Cocktail Bar is open daily 12 pm onwards.
