Hamirsar Lake is a large man made lake situated in heart of Bhuj town, the District headquarters of Kutch Gujarat India. The lake was formed over several decades, by developing canals and tunnels to bring together water from three river systems to recharge acquifier, to meet the water requirements of Bhuj. Spread over an area of 28 acres, the Hamirsar Lake is a remarkable sight. It has a beautiful garden at its centre. Hamirsar Lake is the favourite spot of families to go swimming. The lake also provides the perfect picnic spot where one can enjoy and relax under the shade of trees. It is also an ideal spot for evening and morning walks.
