Féile na Bealtaine is a bilingual, dynamic multi-disciplinary arts festival now in its 20th year. It promises to stimulate, enthral, entertain and engage with all ages, and people of all interests.This festival is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic, voluntary arts festivals in Ireland, with a line-up of contemporary, classical and traditional music from Ireland and abroad. Féile na Bealtaine attracts writers and poets who proclaim and incant in pubs, hotels and street corners; it indulges the whimsies of clowns; admires the prowess of street performers; hosts more art exhibitions than you can shake a brush at; and murmurs approval of great theatre. The enormous annual street theatre is a point of pride for Féile na Bealtaine and is something which continues to grow in size and quality each year. There is always plenty of film, dance, sheepdog trials, politics, improve and much more. You have to experience Féile na Bealtaine to understand it (but you can get an idea from the video on the website!).
