About
The annual Valhalla Arts, Music, and Theatre Festival keeps Lake Tahoe’s South Shore vibrant all summer long with its eclectic arts offerings, ranging from a Washoe Festival (celebrating the Native Americans who once lived in the area) to classical chamber music.
For two weekends in June each summer, as part of the festival, the area comes to life with Shakespearean prose, compliments of the Valhalla Renaissance Faire . Most of the music, children’s theater, film, and fine arts shows are at the Tallac Historic Site--a collection of former summer residences for the wealthy--which includes the Boathouse Theatre, artists in residence, and more. Off-site, the festival also sponsors a popular Barbershop Festival.
