Eglise Saint-Exupere

6 rue Lamarck

About

Built during the 17th century, the Eglise Saint-Exupère is the Spanish Baroque architectural style with a brick facade and, inside, original sculptural decoration. The interior also contains 18th century murals by Jean-Baptiste Despax. The organ was built in 1885 by Théodore Puget & sons, and the octagonal bell tower holds an arrangement of 14 bells. The church abuts the 'jardin des plantes', which was once mostly owned by the parish. Mass is held every day; see website for details.
