This fine Florentine inn lies in San Frediano, the traditional winery and inn district of the city. The food here includes local meats and Tuscan cheeses, with traditional main courses including pasta with mushrooms, roast ham and veal with vegetables. The home-made desserts are excellent and include apple cake and pears in chocolate. There is also a good choice of local wines. The inn is divided into two floors with a lovely stone balcony and there are wooden tables with paper tablecloths, all adding to the low-key and simple ambience.
