In the heart of Florence is the historical Piazza del Duomo. Here you will find the Duomo or Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. This is the world's fourth-largest cathedral and also one of the best gothic architectures of Florence. Brunelleschi's cupola del duomo or the cathedral dome is breathtaking. The artifacts of this cathedral are on display at the nearby Museum of the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore. This museum boasts of having Ghiberti's Porta del Paradiso, Michelangelo's Pietà, Donatello's Mary Magdalene in its collection.
