Dal Lake

This sachet lake is located 11 kilometers away from lower Dharamshala. It lies next to Tibetan Children's village and is the starting point of trekking and excursions around Dharamshala. Dal Lake is a serene picnic spot surrounded by dense deodar forest. On the bank of the lake, there is an ancient temple dedicated to Durveshwar Mahadev. Every September, the Dal Lake Fair is organized here honoring Lord Shiva.
