About

This quiet, business-friendly and/or romantic café has something that's nearly impossible to find in Santiago: very good cheesecake. The wooden interior is cozy, and low lights encourage a quiet kind of meetup, without loud talkers nearby. The coffee is good, the service excellent, and it's all just a few steps away from art exhibitions, a location of Metales Pesados (a great bookstore), a store selling Chilean handicrafts and an interesting show of modern architecture in the Centro Cultural La Moneda. The menu features Chilean and Peruvian food, with seafoods figuring heavily on the menu, including fried smelts, a trio of ceviche, served traditional, with green chile and bloody-mary style. The menu is innovative, and is all part of the chef's own repertoire.
