Camotes group of islands
Cebu City, Philippines
About
Discover islands of unspoiled paradise in Camotes. The group of islands consists of Pajican Island, Poro Island, Ponson Island and the small Tulang Island. The enchanting beauty of the islands captures the hearts of travelers as they bask in the unending splendor of the municipalities- San Francisco, Tudela, Poro and Pilar. San Francisco is the largest municipality of the Camotes group. One of its attractions is the 77-hectare Lake Danao. Once awarded as the cleanest inland lake in the region, Lake Danao has a unique natural 8 shape, and the largest in the entire Visayas. On one hand, Poro is a blend of cultures of immigrants from other regions and islands. A century old church catches the attention of visitors. Meanwhile, favorite destinations in Tudela are Bukilat cave and Magagay-ay Beach. The best way to roam around Camotes is by motorcycle. To reach the islands, a boat via Danao City in mainland Cebu and in Ormoc, Leyte brings travelers to the island.
