The position in the Place des Arcades in the heart of Valbonne could not be better. At the top end of this gently sloping square lined with arcades and full of pavement cafes, the Cafe des Arcades is the place to be. They made us very welcome even though it was almost half past two in the afternoon and the kitchen was about to close (whereas a number of other establishments turned us away).
