Built in the 15th Century, the Burg Wissem is a grandiose structure standing tall in Troisdorf. The wonderful castle is spread over a large area, with several tiny buildings making up the entire premises. The main mansion of the castle has now been converted into an illustrations museum that showcases different landmarks across the city. One half of the building is also dedicated to a research association that deals in recognizing and preserving historical monuments. You can visit the side buildings which have retained some of the original rare furnishings. If you are interested in history, both the museum and the main structure of Burg Wissem are a must visit.
